Where the numbers come from

Tax year 2026 Official IRS figures Last reviewed:

The 2026 rate schedules, standard deductions, and capital gains thresholds used across this site are transcribed from IRS Rev. Proc. 2025-32 as published in Internal Revenue Bulletin 2025-45. The Social Security wage base comes from the Social Security Administration.

Where a figure could not be confirmed against a primary government source, it is left out rather than estimated, and the calculator tells you when that has affected your result. Our methodology page explains how each figure is checked, and sources lists them in full.

Your figures stay on your device

Every calculation runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to a server, written to a database, or included in analytics. We never ask for your name, address, Social Security number, or account details, and we have no way to see what you entered.

The "copy link" button on each calculator builds a shareable URL containing your inputs. That link is created in your address bar and is yours alone unless you choose to send it to someone. Read the privacy policy for the detail.
