All tax calculators
Six calculators are live for the 2026 tax year. Several more are listed as in development — they are not published yet because the figures they depend on have not been confirmed against a primary source.
Individual taxes
Federal returns, refunds, and deductions for individuals and families.
Paycheck and payroll
What lands in your bank account, and what an employer actually pays.
Investment taxes
Capital gains, dividends, and the tax on net investment income.
Business and self-employment
Schedule C profit, self-employment tax, and quarterly payments.
Sales and local taxes
Sales tax at the register, and state and local income tax.
Property, estate, and retirement
Longer-horizon planning tools.
Why some calculators are not published. A calculator that produces a confident-looking number from an unverified rate is worse than no calculator at all. Each tool listed as in development is waiting on figures we can trace to an official IRS, SSA, or state revenue department publication. See our methodology for how that verification works.
